We say Nihao to an all new year for The Dennis Daniel Show, because we’re returning with all new episodes and THIS FRIDAY February 3rd, we welcome legendary voice actress Cathy Weseluck to the program. Cathy Weseluck is a canadian voice actress who is best known for her roles as the beautiful Chinese Amazon, Shampoo from the animé classic, “Ranma 1/2″ and more notably, the assistant to Twilight Sparkle, Spike the Dragon from the popular “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!”
If you heard the interview with Kelly Sheridan, you know Dennis has a crush on the Chinese Amazon chef, so what will happen when Dennis finally meets his crush? Will Shampoo “crush” Dennis into the ground if he tries to make a move? Can Dennis help Spike crush his fear of talking to Rarity, whom he has a crush on? And more importantly….will Dennis get an Orange Crush? (Sorry, we’re using the word “crush” a lot)
Find out this and so much more THIS FRIDAY at 1:30 PM EST ONLY on BearcastRadio.com
Have a question for Cathy? Leave it in a comment below

How is it like being a dragon in a pony filled world? :P
I was simply wondering Cathy’s opinion on the fact that her show has a massive following of Teenage Boys and Adult Men. Does it creep you out? Flatter you? And yes, I am totally a Brony.
I have a crush on Shampoo too.
Ask Cathy to say: “Hey Applejack… You alright?” In her best spike voice.
I second this!
YES
hahahhahahah XD
would be best thing evar! XD
Questions and Comments for Cathy:
How does your experience with Friendship is Magic compare to your other roles?
((Also, I must thank you for your terrific work, as the very first episode of My Little Pony I watched was Owl’s Well that End’s Well, and I must say it was Spike’s character and voice that softened me up to the series. ))
And by some stroke of fate, I stumbled upon the series Cybersix a few weeks after I became a fan of ponies (and dragons), and only recently discovered you voiced Adrian and Cybersix as well. Was it fun to voice a character undercover as the opposite gender?
Do you have any interesting stories about any unusual situations, or touching moments you may have encountered as a voice actress?
Thanks for giving your time for this interview and for doing a superb job with all your roles :D
Ask her how it is voice acting so much against Twilight Sparkle, when her voice actress, Tara Strong, is not even there in Vancouver for most recordings. :)
Also, ask her what she thinks of bronies, if you didn’t already plan to do that. :P
Please ask her what was it like voiceing Near from Deathnote? Any funny/memorable experiences? Thanks =D
Spike really is not loved enough. Well, good luck and MLP:Fim FTW!
Hello, Cathy. Thanks for all you’ve done on shows, like Dragon Ball Z, Mobile Suit: Gundam Wing, Death Note, and of course, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Spike is my favorite main character on the entire show, and you do an excellent job bringing the character to life. I understand if you’re unable to give any spoilers or answers regarding unaired episodes on FIM, but is there any chance we’ll hear Spike sing in a future episode? Do you have any singing/music experience? If so, are you able to sing in Spike’s voice? It’s okay, if you are not able to.
Thank you for giving your time to be on the show. I appreciate it, and I’m sure all fans that are listening appreciate it, too. We love your work! Keep it up!

Two Questions for Cathy:
Has your background in producing affected the way you voice act?
Are there any roles you’d really like to do in the future (MLP or other)?
is it ever awkward recording lines with tabitha considering your charecter likes hers, but in real life your both girls?
I must say that I have been a fan of yours since i first watched work on Cybersix, back when it first aired.
My question is: Were/what did you draw your inspiration from, when voicing Adrian and Cybersix from Cybersix, and what was your opinion of the show as a whole?
How do you get along with the other voice actors?
Have you voiced any background characters?
Was Spike on to something when he had the whole mustache thing in Boast Busters after Rarity fainted in the new episode when the Flim Flam brother with the mustache made Rarity faint?
What is your take on ‘DerpyGate’ (The attempted censoring out of the fan character Derpy by Hasbro) if you’re allowed to talk about that?
Cathy, I understand that you voiced a pony named Rarity in an older My Little Pony cartoon. What was the transition from a pony to a dragon like in a show that is geared towards little girls?
Hello. My question for Cathy Weseluck is has there ever been any iconic lines that she, herself contributed to any of the shows she worked on from MLP:FiM to Cybersix?
Is it difficult to do the voice of a male character when you’re female? Is there some kind of training that voice actors do to be able to do something like that?
Also, do you have any upcoming voice acting roles that you are looking forward to (whether it be Friendship is Magic or another show)?
Have you read any of the MLP: FIM fanfiction, and if so, which ones were your favorite?
What was it like voicing Shampoo in the English dub for Ranma 1/2?
I hope this is the right place–anyway, I like MLP:FiM because it’s cute without getting into the schmaltzy-sugary-type cuteness like the previous generations of MLP. It also has great humor.
Not a question for Cathy, but for the DA commission: Why I love MLP: FIM? Well, I really appreciate the storytelling of the series, I love the cast of characters and voice-overs, beautiful art and animation, and it does have a positive message. For those that have never seen the show or are one of those people that won’t give it a chance, have a look at it. You may be pleasantly surprised.
I’m really sorry for the delay, I hope you can get back to her and keep us updated on the postpone.
Just so I don’t forget, I got a question for Cathy despite the delay. On the show “SpongeBob SquarePants”, there was a story within the show called “The Ugly barnacle”. It goes like this: “Once, there was an ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everyone died. The end.”
My question is, how would you portray such a deep and complex character like the “The Ugly barnacle”.
Anyway, keep cool Vinnyboiler
It’s not what I expected, but an hour of pony music and “You bronies are awesome” is still perfectly fine. I think you handled this excellently and I’m certainly not angry with anyone. I understand being busy or things coming up.
I’ll try to listen if there’s a reschedule, if i can get on the stream early enough.
Sje should so say >> “Hey Applejack… You alright?”
Are voice injuries common for you? Your male characters sound tough on your throat.
I know who you can commission: Karine Coenen. She very much needs the money.
